(NAPSI)-He's back!

Harry Potter mania is in full force, as the newest J.K. Rowling book, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," in the wildly popular series goes on sale at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, July 16.

Young wizards and witches from across the country are expected to attend Harry Potter "Midnight Magic" parties to celebrate. More fun than a game of Quidditch and held at Barnes & Noble stores nationwide, the events include children's activities, giveaways and readings throughout the evening of July 15, culminating in the release of the book at midnight. The events are free and open to the public.

At the arrival two years ago of the last Harry Potter title, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," more than 650 Barnes & Noble stores hosted "Midnight Magic" parties of their own. Tens of thousands of Potter fans were treated to everything from swooping owls and photos with Harry to face painting and a magical performance by master magician Lance Burton in Las Vegas. Nearly 900,000 copies of the Potter book were sold on the first day, shattering all publishing records. This year's book is expected to top even that remarkable feat.

Speculation about what happens next for Harry and his friends is rampant and has already propelled the book to the top of Barnes & Noble's bestseller list. As fans wait for the plot to be revealed, one thing remains clear: placing a preorder now is another great way to own a copy of this summer's hottest read.

To preorder your copy of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" or to find a "Midnight Magic" party, visit any Barnes & Noble store or go online to www.bn.com.

There'll be magic in the air-and in the bookstore-with the release of the newest Harry Potter book.
