From Cowboys to Kings, Who Has Held Your Coins?

(NUI) - Have you ever looked at an old coin or an antique and wondered where has it been, who had it in their hands or where has it traveled?
These questions will never be answered for sure, but every old coin - whether it is a silver dollar or a $20 gold coin from the 1800s - holds a story.
When I was a boy, I collected coins. And every time I got another one, I would wonder who had it before me or who got it from the bank in Nevada in 1883.
I do know from studying reference books that old western cowboys loved silver dollars and gold coins. The coins were big and solid and represented their value by their weight. They were so appealing that Jesse James robbed banks for Morgan Silver Dollars.
