Fun Thanksgiving Craft Ideas For Your Family

Thanksgiving is one of the biggest and best holidays we have. It is always a fun time of celebration and eating with your family and your friends. There are some many way to make Thanksgiving even more fun for your family this year. These are great craft ideas you can all work on together as a family. While you will be honoring love and past memories, you will also be making more happy memories and new traditions for your family to carry on through the years.

1. Thanksgiving Cards

Sit with your children and make a card for each person who will be sharing your Thanksgiving this year.

You can write on each card and tell the person what things you appreciate most about them, why they are so loved,and why you are thankful for them.

What a wonderful gift to give someone you love. It will make them feel special and thankful for you!


2. A Family Recipe Books

Before Thanksgiving, write of list of your family members who will be joining you at the holiday meal.

Next to each person's name, write down the traditional holiday dish they bring yearly to the celebration.

Get in touch with each person via phone or internet, and ask for the recipe of their dish, you can also ask for on or two more of their favorite recipes.

When you have gathered all the recipes, you can make them into a booklet using your computer and printer.

If you want to make it a family heirloom, you can go to a professional printer and have him make you a real book out of it, or you can go to your favorite dollar store and buy photo albums to stick your home printed recipes in.

When your guests have arrived on Thanksgiving, you can hand out your special holiday gift to each of them, A copy of your Family Holiday Recipes.



3. Mini Family Scrapbooks

Get out all your family pictures, Choose your favorites and make copies of them.

You can buy mini scrapbooks or photo albums at a dollar store or craft store.

You can also get stickers, markers and different scrapbook supplies.

Sit together with your children and you can begin to assemble your miniature family scrapbooks, using one picture per page.

Write your thoughts on each person on the first page of their book, why you are thankful for them, what makes them so special to you, and how much you love them.

On Thanksgiving Day, when all your family is gathered together give a copy of your mini family scrapbooks to each family member as a rememberence.

Make sure you make one for yourself, and have each member sign it and write a little note!

Thanksgiving, the special day reserved to remind us to give thanks for all our blessings. What is more blessed than being with your friends and family, giving and sharing wonderful thoughts, words and memories!
