Handmade Wedding Favors Add Special Touch

Every detail counts. And with so many things to consider, it's important to keep decorations simple, yet memorable.
Personalized items that reflect your taste can make the wedding even more meaningful. Handmade decorations can be easy to make and don't take a lot of time.
Wedding favors made of Rocher chocolates, such as a nosegay, are a great way to add a personal touch. A sweet take on tradition, this edible decoration can be given to guests as a delicious memory of the wedding.
ROCHER NOSEGAY
(Yields 10 nosegays)
50 wrapped Rocher chocolates
5 Styrofoam balls, 2-inch
diameter
Nontoxic craft glue
Toothpicks
10 popsicle sticks
10 yards ribbon, 1/4-inch wide
10 lace or paper doilies, about 4
inches in diameter
1 bunch baby's breath, fresh or
dried
1 bunch floral greenery
Serrated knife
1.Cut Styrofoam balls in half with a serrated knife.
2. Take one half and, using a popsicle stick, make a 1/2-inch deep hole in the middle of the flat side of the Styrofoam. Remove the stick.
3. Place the flat side of the Styrofoam down on a work surface. One at a time, apply a small amount of glue to the bottom of the brown cups of five Rocher chocolates and attach them to the styrofoam. To support the chocolates while the glue is drying, insert two toothpicks in the Styrofoam beneath each Rocher.
4. Snip small pieces of baby's breath and greenery. Carefully glue them into the empty spots on the surface of the Styrofoam. Allow the bouquets to dry about 30 minutes. Remove the toothpicks.
5. Cut three 12-inch pieces of ribbon. Apply a thin amount of glue along one edge of a popsicle stick and, starting a 1/2-inch from one end, wrap the ribbon diagonally around it. Let the remaining ribbon flow from the opposite end. Glue the other two 12-inch strips of ribbon to the covered tip of the stick by wrapping them around it and allowing the ends to flow from it as well. The stick should be covered with three streams of ribbon flowing from one end.
6. Insert the clean side of the stick at a slight angle into the hole in the Styrofoam ball, using a small amount of glue to secure.
7. Cut a 1/4-inch hole in the middle of each doily and thread it through the handle up to the back of the bouquet, pressing it gently against the Styrofoam to adhere. You may need to apply a small amount of glue to the doily where it meets the Styrofoam.
Repeat steps two through seven for the remaining nosegays.
