(NUI) - Have you ever wished your food would just cook faster? Especially during the holidays, cooks are frantic in the kitchen trying to get everything ready at the same time. However, most of the timing trouble occurs because the main dish takes forever to cook.

Now, you can sit down to eat in a fraction of the time with GE Profile ovens with Trivection technology. For instance, a 22-pound turkey will roast moist and golden in just two hours.

Just in time for the holidays, GE Consumer Products has introduced a new way to cook favorite family recipes in a full-size oven. These versatile ovens combine thermal, convection and microwave energies.

Preliminary testing shows speed modes allow foods to cook up to five times faster; you can roast a turkey in half the time or bake breads in a third of the time. Potatoes cook five times faster than in a traditional oven.

"But cooking foods quickly was not our only goal," said Leanne Dugan, general manager for GE Cooking Products. "We developed this oven to use the optimal combination of the best of three cooking methods in an effort to produce the best possible food."

The chef's guide controls automatically convert consumers' traditional recipes. Consumers can enter food type, time and temperature. Once the oven is set, it automatically optimizes cooking performance.

"My favorite thing about Trivection is it balances three energies to maximize cooking performance," said Alton Brown, television celebrity chef and author of "I'm Just Here for the Food." "It's got brains, brawn and it's crazy about food."

The GE Profile ovens with Trivection technology are available in a single wall oven, double wall oven or slide-in range. The estimated retail price of the GE Profile ovens with Trivection technology is $2,349 to $2,699 for the single wall oven model; $3,699 to $4,149 for the double wall oven model; and $2,799 to $3,049 for the slide-in range.
