(NAPSI)-Root for the under-zebra with "Racing Stripes," the new family-friendly comedy-drama now available on DVD and VHS.

This heartwarming tale of a baby zebra who dreams of becoming a racehorse uses a combination of live action and computer animation. The story unfolds on a farm in Kentucky, where "Stripes" is raised by a former horse trainer and his teenage daughter. Determined to win a prestigious race, the zebra must follow his heart and learn what it means to be a champion. He is helped by his barnyard friends, who believe in him even if he doesn't look much like a racehorse.

The barnyard ballyhoo features the all-star voice cast of Frankie Muniz, Dustin Hoffman, Joe Pantoliano, Whoopi Goldberg, Jeff Foxworthy, David Spade, Steve Harvey and Snoop Dogg, while the human cast is led by Hayden Panettiere, Bruce Greenwood and Wendie Malick.

Jeffrey Lyons from NBC-TV calls "Racing Stripes" "good family fun," while iVillage promises "a breezy caper that will entertain children without testing their parents' patience."

The DVD, from Warner Home Video, offers three "making of" featurettes, additional scenes, interactive comic books, a gag reel and "Buzz & Scuzz's Flying Fiasco Game." In addition to enjoying the film at home, children can try this word search, filled with characters and key words from "Racing Stripes." Words are found horizontally, vertically and diagonally, but always in a straight line.
