Start Your Diesels

(NC)- Starting this fall, all diesel fuel sold in Canada must have a lower (less harmful) sulphur count of 15 parts per million to comply with stringent new standards. Extremely popular in Europe for their fuel efficiency, today's diesel vehicles are cleaner, quieter and offer comparable performance, comfort and luxury to gasoline vehicles.

Currently, just over three per cent of Canadian vehicles are diesels; however, that number is likely to increase now that the federal government has brought in the strict guidelines regarding sulphur content.

By reducing the sulphur content in diesel fuel, modern electronically controlled diesel engines can operate efficiently while meeting stringent emissions requirements.
