(NC)-Want the secret to living a healthy life? You already know it: eat a balanced diet and get regular exercise. But, as we all know too well, knowing and doing are two different things.

According to Statistics Canada, 36% of Canadians are overweight, of which 23% are obese.

Kellogg Canada has once again stepped up to help address this issue, hoping to get Canadians to reach a daily goal of 10,000 steps by making simple changes like adding 2,000 extra steps per day to their current activity.

The Kellogg's Step Counter challenge is an easy and simple program designed to encourage Canadians to take charge of their health by allowing them to keep track of their daily steps and set realistic physical activity goals.

Step counters are found in specially marked boxes of all varieties of Kellogg's Special K cereal, while quantities last.
