Where There's Moisture, There's Mold

(NAPSI)-With mold's biggest ally being water, the best way to make war on mold is to not let it get out of control. Mold could be caused by a burst pipe, leaking roof, faulty plumbing, even heavy rain or high humidity. When it gets out of control, the best thing to do is call a certified professional.
Mold can grow almost anywhere, even beneath the surface of a wall. That type of mold growth is worse than that visible to the eye.
The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification (IICRC) recommends calling in a professional to take actions and prevent further contamination. These actions include:
• Verifying that the source of the moisture has been eliminated or repaired
• Containing the area to prevent cross contamination.
• Properly removing moisture and vacuum-exposed pockets of growth
• Isolating, removing and properly disposing of heavily contaminated materials
The key to preventing mold growth in any building is proper inspecting. To learn more, visit www.certifiedcleaners.org.
