Are you looking for a tooth whitener?

All you have to do is go to any drug store or grocery store, and there are tons of them. All you have to do is decide which product is the one for you.

You have your choice of: whitening toothpastes, whitening strips, and entire tooth whitening systems.

All of these products can help to make your teeth white, and all of these products have harsh chemicals in them.

If someone handed us these chemicals we would never put them in our bodies.

Did you know there are recipes for tooth whiteners that you can put together in your kitchen? Check your cabinets. Do you have baking soda? It is known to be a tooth whitener.

Are there any strawberries in there? There is an enzyme in strawberries called malic acid that has been found to whiten teeth. It tastes good too!

How to Whiten Teeth With Strawberries and Baking Soda

Here are a couple ways for you to whiten your teeth with strawberries and baking soda and they can be e easily incorporated into your dental care regimen.

1. Cut a strawberry in half, rub the pulpy side directly on your teeth and finish by brushing your teeth with some baking soda.

2. Mix a strawberry and some baking soda (Just a quarter of a teaspoon or just enough to make a little paste) and brush your teeth with the paste it makes. It may be easier for you to mix the two ingredients.

3.You can puree the strawberries and put some puree on your teeth. You can use your finger, your toothbrush or a cosmetic brush to do this. Let the puree sit on your teeth for five minutes and then brush your teeth with baking soda.

4. Make a strawberry and baking soda paste and combine it with your regular toothpaste. Brush as usual.

Things to Consider When Using Strawberries

Make sure to brush your teeth well after using any mix with strawberries in it. Strawberries contain natural sugar and you do want to make sure you remove all of it from your teeth. Leaving sugar on your teeth for long periods of time can cause cavities. The malic acid in strawberries though natural is still an acid. These have no where near the danger of the bleach containing teeth whiteners they are replacing.

Use this process once a week or so and make sure you brush well with your regular paste when you are done. Make sure you see your dentist on a regular basis for cleaning and remember to brush your teeth after every meal.

The acid in the strawberries loosen the hold of the stains on your teeth and the baking soda buffs away the loosened stains. This combination is safer, and much less expensive than the chemical filled commercial products you can buy. It tastes a lot better too. Ask your dentist for his opinion on home remedies for stains on your teeth.
