(NAPSI)-If you bump into someone at a party and say "Dew Why No Ewe?" chances are you aren't confused. You're just playing a popular word game, especially if the person responds by saying his favorite meal is "Us Taken Putt Hay Toe."

"Dew Why No Ewe," when read aloud a few times, starts to sound like "Do I know you?" and "Us Taken Putt Hay Toe" begins to sound like "A steak and potato" after you repeat it. That's the idea behind the game Mad Gab. Teams work to decipher groups of seemingly unrelated phrases before time runs out. It's become a popular party pastime, as well as a fun way for families to spend a night in together.

The game is made by Mattel. The company's Games and Puzzles Web site, www.mattelgame finder.com, has a demo of Mad Gab, as well as a number of other great games such as Balderdash, Outburst Remix and Tribond. The site's search function lets people sort through games by category, age group or occasion. The site also offers the opportunity to sample select games and see how they are played, download game rules and locate retail stores where games can be purchased. It can be a great way to pick the right game for the right situation.
