When your son or daughter asks, "Hey Mom, can I have a bowling party?" You can say "Yes"! It's a fun party for kids and it's an easy party to plan.

Where To Have A Bowling Party

You can have this party in your home or at a bowling alley. If you decide you want to have it at the lanes, call several and see who offers the best birthday party package. Each alley will offer a different package for parties, and each may have different rates per guest. It's smart to call at least three if you have that many near your home.

If you decide to hold your kids birthday party in your home there are many ways to make it an inexpensive party. There are plenty of ideas to help you make your own:

Party Invitations
Ten Pins Game
Party Favors
Decorated King Pin Cake or Cupcakes
Party Decorations

Make King Pin Invitations

Cut out ball or pin shapes from colored paper. Write a catchy little saying on them and fill in the who, what, where and what time of the party, don't forget an RSVP. Let's Strike Up Some Fun At A Ten Pins Party For Suzie! or Strikes, Spares and Birthday Cake...Let's Strike Up some fun. As soon as your party guests receive their invitations they will know they are in for some fun!

How to Make a Bowling Game

You can fill empty 16 ounce soda bottles with sand. If the party is for younger kids, don't fill them up all the way. This way the "Pins" won't be too heavy for the kids to knock down. Use a soccer ball or a soft ball as a ball. You can also buy an inexpensive plastic set at a toy or party store.

Party Favors

You can plan a crafting activity at your child's party. Let each party guest make a craft and they can bring it home as a party favor. You can also print out some free coloring pages and let the kids color them. Little kids enjoy coloring so you can print out some extras and send each child home with a couple.

King Pin Birthday Cake

It's easy to make a cake shaped like a bowling ball or a pin. There are also special cake toppers you can buy to place on top of your homemade cake. It's easy and inexpensive to make the birthday cake yourself.

Bowling Party Invitations

Cut out some clip art that is readily available to you online. Cut colored paper into pin and ball shapes. Hang them all over the place! Place some theme related stickers on helium filled party balloons and let them float all over your party room. Or you can secure one to a bowl and place it on your party table for a centerpiece.

There are so many party ideas that don't cost a lot of money, but you can still have lots of fun and make your child's birthday a memorable occasion.
