Having a plan for your Internet business means writing down your idea and the progress you want it to make step by step. You should write an outline of those steps you need to take, like a map of ideas.

One plan for each network.
When you have a strategy and firm plans about what results you want from your online business, you should remember to be flexible about the growth of your business. You may find new ideas and information along the way that you will want to incorporate into your already existing plans. If you are not flexible, you can miss opportunities for growth.
You should test and tweak. Test different ways of doing business, and perfect each one, or discard it as needed. If you don't test different methods, you will not know if you are using the best strategy for you.
If your time is spent mainly on submitting articles to directories, or spending a large part of your budget on ezine advertising, and your not getting any sales or traffic from them, you will need to know. By testing and tracking each method you will see which one works for your particular online business. And you will see which method doesn't work for you and need to be cut from your plan.
Creating a business plan in a very important part of your online business success. It does not have to be a time consuming process, but it is necessary. With a business plan laid out for you to see, it can help you to see a problem developing, or help you to avoid using the wrong method for your particular business.
Like a road map you will be able to see where you are going, before you get there. It will allow you to veer off course, and still see the end of your journey if need be.
