The Holidays are a great time to bring your family together. You can make memories for your children and give them traditions they can look back on and carry on in the future.Always try to start planning your family get together early, and here are some tips on how to do it.
1. Plan your meal
Try not to wait until the week before Christmas to decide what your Christmas dinner will include. Start planning ahead of time.
What kind of meal will you prepare? Will everyone eat the same thing, or should you prepare several different kinds of food? What vegtables and desserts will you fix?
It can be difficult to plan a family dinner so try to giv e it some thought ahead of time.Be sure to plan for everyone so that nobody will go without something they love to eat.
2. Let everyone cook
You don’t have to cook the entire dinner by yourself. Ask your guest to prepare their favorite dish and bring it to dinner. Everyone has a different favorite recipe and they would most likely enjoy sharing it with you and your other guests.
3. Decide on a time
When you send your invitations be sure to put down what time you would like to start eating. If you don't people will come at all different times, and your dinner will not run as smoothly as you had hoped.
When you plan your Christmas meal, make sure to let everyone know when they should get to your house. Friends and family may want to come early and stay late to catch up on all the latest, so make sure you stress the right time on the invitations.
4. Make it special
Every family get-together is special, but there are some things you can to do make yours unique. Try to make this Christmas extra special by doing something different.
You could take turns going around the dinner table and sharing what each family member is thankful for. You could invite your pastor and his family for dinner and have him pray a special prayer for your family. You could invite some elderly neighbors or single friends to dinner to share your meal if they have no place to visit that day.
What better way to celebrate the holiday of Christmas than to share it with other people and giving everyone something extra special to be thankful for!
Adding something different to this Christmas dinner is a sure way to create warm, lasting memories that your entire family will never forget.
