(NAPSI)-All aboard for a magical journey with a new holiday classic, available for the first time on DVD.
"The Polar Express," which has the Academy Award-winning duo of Tom Hanks and director Robert Zemeckis teaming up again, is an awe-inspiring tale about the power of belief-one that transcends generations and cultures. Based on the best-selling novel by writer/illustrator Chris Van Allsburg.
It's the ride of Hero Boy's life on Christmas Eve, as he, Hero Girl, Know-It-All and other children board the titular train and roller-coaster up and down mountains, slip-slide over ice fields, teeter across mile-high bridges and are served hot chocolate by singing waiters more astonishing than they can imagine.
"The Polar Express" is available as of November 22 in a two-disc Special Edition DVD from Warner Home Video that offers such extras as the theatrical trailer, a never-before-heard song, behind-the-scenes secrets, music videos, a discussion with Van Allsburg, menu challenges for kids, Christmas memories from the filmmakers, video sequences highlighting the animation process and a demo of "The Polar Express" video game. The single-disc DVD will contain only the movie.
