(NewsUSA) - According to more than 2,400 participants in an online quiz conducted by Shop.com, an e-commerce multi-merchant marketplace, last-minute holiday shopping may soon be a thing of the past. Nearly 44 percent think it's never too early to start shopping.
This "Always on the Lookout" holiday shopper is the current winning personality type, followed closely by the "One for You, One for Me" holiday shoppers - those who pick up extra gifts for themselves along the way.
"Ninety percent of our respondents are women and as a busy working mom myself, I appreciate the convenience of shopping online," said Cori Tuck, merchant director at Shop.com. "When you're responsible for your family's holiday traditions, including buying gifts for a dozen people, anything you can do online at night with the kids asleep truly gives you cheer."
With Shop.com's universal OneCart, consumers can use one shopping cart and one checkout to buy gifts for everyone on their lists. Shop.com offers products from name brand retailers and specialty stores in categories ranging from apparel, toys and home furnishings to computers, books, DVDs and consumer electronics.
To discover your holiday shopper personality, take the national quiz at www.shop.com/shopper _quiz and see where you rank among:
* Always on the Lookout: For you, it's never too early to start holiday shopping.
* One for You, One for Me: Holidays remind you to pick up a few must-haves for yourself.
* The Sale Seeker: You never pay full price and that's half the fun.
* The Professional Shopper: You're the go-to person when it comes to holiday shopping ideas.
* The Big Spender: You get caught up in the holiday spirit, splurging on gifts beyond your budget.
* The Procrastinator: Last-minute shopping has become a holiday tradition for you.
* Predictably Unpredictable: You hate fitting into anyone's mold, yet you keep everyone happy.
* Zen State of Mind: You're the one to put a little serenity under the tree, such as scented candles and yoga mats.
* Another Thing To Do: You're so busy that holiday shopping is just one more "to do."
